The director has lost his brother, his father and his mother and tells about these three deaths in this autobiographical film. A senseless death, the one of his brother Armand, caught in a fire during a party. A heartrending death, the one of his father, who has to submit to a devastating cancer. A conscious death, the one of his mother, overcome with grief by the death of one of her sons and the distance of the other one and deeply distressed by her husband's agony. When she finds out to have a colon cancer, she decides to choose the way to die with the complicity of a doctor she knows.
