Vilian, a young professor with a passion for astronomy, discovers a comet and, together with his friend, Fiala, they dream of naming it after them. Meanwhile, Vilian's wife stresses him because she wants a bigger apartment. Later on, Vilian finds out that his friend gave the comet only his name, betraying his trust. Vilian gives up his job as a professor, but manages, anyway, to find another apartment.
