Dong Dong and his younger sister are sent to spend their holidays at their grandparents' house in the countryside.
They soon join a group of children and spend their days playing in the fields and in the creek near the railway.
Once in a while they get news from the city about their mother who is at the hospital.
One day, their dad comes to pick them up. Holidays are over.
