Four young men have just finished school in their island fishing village in Taiwan and now spend most of their time drinking and fighting. Three of them decide to go to the port city of Gaoxiang to look for work. There they face the harsh reality of the big city.
The movie attracted the attention of Olivier Assayas, a young critic who works for Cahiers du cinéma.
